Iminosugars, which can interfere with cellular glycosylation pathways, provide a route to affect glycan-mediated virion assembly. Iminosugars offer an exciting prospect for the development of broad-spectrum antivirals against enveloped viruses. Our lab is currently involved in clinical trials for dengue virus.
