My research aims to understand how plants process noisy environmental information and robustly control the timing of developmental transitions crucial for seasonal adaptation. We use photoperiod and temperature mediated control of seasonal growth cycle in trees as our experimental model. We apply genetics, cell biology and mathematical modelling and aim to develop predictive models and assess the impact of climate change on seasonal adaptation.
