Our lab uses developmental genetics in vertebrate model systems to understand how transcriptional regulatory networks control the formation and patterning of the body plan and organs during mammalian development; how they are associated with or affected in disease; and the role of these pathways in vertebrate evolution. A molecular focus is on the regulation and role of Hox genes.
