Pol III transcription in normal cells & cancer

My lab works primarily on transcription by RNA polymerase III, which produces short non-coding RNAs, including tRNA. We study the transcriptional mechanism and how it is regulated in health and diseases, especially cancer. Abnormally high tRNA expression is found in tumours and can have proliferative and oncogenic effects under some conditions. We want to understand how this happens.
