My research interests include: (1) how populations are structured and respond to change, particularly with respect to infectious diseases and biodiversity; and (2) the structure of dynamics of ecosystems (and – more recently – other networks, particularly those seen in banking systems), with particular emphasis on their response to disturbance, natural or human-created.
