Molecular geminivirus-plant interactions
Viruses cause devastating diseases across domains of life, using only a few viral proteins to hijack complex hosts. Our research investigates how viruses manipulate host cells and cause disease, with particular focus on geminiviruses, plant-infecting DNA viruses that replicate in the host cell nucleus. Geminiviruses serve as powerful and relevant discovery tools for virus-host interactions and plant biology.
