My group investigates the molecular mechanisms controlling cell polarity and directed migration in normal cells and tries to determine which molecular alterations can affect the cell invasive properties during oncogenesis. Our research focuses on the study of primary astrocytes, which are major glial cells of the central nervous system. We study gliomas to elucidate the molecular changes contributing to the important invasive capacity of glioblastomas.
