Evolutionary and systems biology of RNA viruses
In my group we are interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms and evolutionary dynamics of RNA virus adaptation to new hosts as well as to learn how the interactions between virus and host cell chage as the virus adapts. We take a multidisciplinar approach, combining experimental evolution, molecular and systems biology, molecular evolution and epidemiology, and mathematical modelling.
