Our group works on understanding the principles and mechanisms of cell-autonomous immunity in diseases and health. A part of our lab tries to understand how autophagy controls immune homeostasis during a pathogenic invasion or sterile inflammation. We are also interested in understanding the innate immune defense systems that work against invading viruses. Cancer and innate immune system interactions is another avenue into which our lab invests.
