Organelle communication regulates EGFR signalling

My long-standing research goal is to understand the role of endocytosis in the regulation of growth factor receptor signalling in physiology and cancer. My work led to the discovery of a novel mechanism of non-clathrin endocytosis, involving the communication between different cellular organelles and the direct crosstalk between growth factor receptor signalling and mitochondrial metabolic functions.
