My work is centred around uncovering fundamental principles behind the organization of membrane constituents in the fluid-bilayer of a living cell. We have discovered that segregation of membrane constituents in the formation of membrane rafts. He has created a new language to understand how membrane constituents may be locally organized in a regulated fashion.
