Mechanisms and engineering of DNA methylases
Besides our long standing interest in structural and mechanistic aspects of AdoMet-dependent enzymes, our efforts are now focussed on structure-based engineering of the DNA and RNA methyltransferase-catalyzed reactions and design of molecular tools for analysis of epigenetic regulation in mammalian organisms.
