Chemical biology of the genome

Our lab work on the chemical biology of the genome. One major area of investigation is the structure, function and manipulation of non-canonical DNA and RNA structures in nature, which is largely focused on our exploration of four-stranded DNA and RNA G-quadruplex structures. The other area that my group has recently started working on concerns the existence and function of chemically modified bases in the genome.
