Epigenome maintenance in response to DNA damage

By studying chromatin dynamics in response to DNA damage in mammalian cells, we aim at understanding how genome and epigenome maintenance are coordinated in response to genotoxic stress to preserve cell function and identity. Our research focuses on identifying the molecular players that control histone dynamics, modifications and alterations in higher-order chromatin structure and function when challenged by DNA damage.
