Learning the genomic regulatory code

My lab studies gene regulation using single-cell regulatory genomics, machine-learning, and genetics. We develop new computational biology tools to decipher enhancer logic and gene regulatory networks. We aim to understand and model the regulatory programs that underlie cellular identity, to predict gene expression and cell types from the genome sequence, and to use synthetic enhancer biology to manipulate transcriptional cell states.
