We are primarily interested in the molecular mechanisms of signalling from double-stranded DNA breaks to the repair apparatus and cell-cycle machinery. In particular, we have focused on the role of Ser/Thr kinases in sponsoring formation of DNA-damage and cell-cycle responsive macromolecular complexes through phosphorylation-dependent protein–protein interactions mediated by protein domains and modules such as 14-3-3, FHA domains, Polo-box domains and BRCT-repeat domains.
