My group develops nonparametric statistical methods and R software for analyzing noisy multidomain data, including microbiome counts data, multi-omics, image and spatial data. Our main focus has been on reproducible research for the vaginal microbiome with the development of bacterial strain identification and visualization tools such as dada2 and phyloseq. I am very interested in training the next generation of quantitative biologists.
