Transcriptional networks regulating metabolism
My group focuses on focuses on understanding the transcriptional networks regulating differentiation and function of adipocytes as well as cellular plasticity of the adipose tissue and the endocrine pancreas in obesity. We combine sequencing-based genome-wide analyses of chromatin with single cell studies and detailed molecular analyses to study these transcriptional regulation in cell culture models, animal model systems and human biopsies.
