Bacterial infections and immunity
I am interested in understanding the molecular interplay between bacteria and the host immune response. The goal of my work is to understand how the human immune system (antibodies, complement, phagocytes) kills bacterial cells with the ultimate aim to develop alternative strategies for the treatment of infectious disease.
