My group works extensively on evolutionary and comparative genomics, particularly metagenomics, synonymous and nonsynonymous substitutions, positive selection, horizontal gene transfer, and population genomics. My lab focuses on evolution of the central nervous system and sensory organs, conducting wet lab experiments and bioinformatics. My group constructs databases with amplified annotation by developing pipelines for big data analysis.
