My research combines quantitative microscopy, genetics, biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology and mathematical modeling to obtain the quantitative evidence required to formulate and test a detailed molecular models for how assembly of actin filaments stimulated by Arp2/3 complex produces forces for cellular movements and endocytosis and for how fission yeast cells divide in two during cytokinesis.
