My emeritus lab is currently engaged in studies of the interactions, and significance thereof, of DNA topoisomerase (and functionally related proteins) with left-handed double-helical DNA (Z-DNA). The methods employed employ bioinformatics, biophysics (kinetics, thermodynamics, imaging), molecular biology, and cell biology. We are also engaged in collaborations related to new methods for high-resolution fluorescence microscopy.
