Aneuploidy, a deviation from the normal chromosome number, is a fundamental, understudied trait of cancer. My lab develops and applies genomic and functional approaches to study the biological processes that lead to aneuploidy, uncover the selection pressures that shape aneuploidy evolution during tumor formation and progression, and design strategies to selectively target aneuploid cancer cells.
