Our lab studies the physical and molecular principles how the shape and 3D organization of the vertebrate embryo develops starting from a single fertilised cell. We combine in-vivo imaging, biomimetic reconstitution assays and modelling to understand how tissue form and function emerges from dynamic processes at the single-cell level.
