Research in my group is directed towards the structure determination of exciting protein molecules for understanding the way they function and as a basis for structure-guided drug design. The emphasis is in particular on infectious tropical diseases: currently cholera, sleeping sickness, Chagas diseas, and Cryptosporidiosis; previously also malaria and tuberculosis.
