My group studies early oogenesis, from the germline stem cell to the primary follicle, employing multidisciplinary approaches to the zebrafish ovary. We investigate how established and novel organelles control the mechanics of oocyte differentiation and ovarian morphogenesis, proposing new paradigms in cell, developmental, and reproduction biology. We follow our pioneering observations aiming to create a holistic understanding of early oogenesis.
