Our interdisciplinary group aims at understanding the basic principles coordinating the proliferation and the morphogenesis of epithelial tissues using Drosophila as a model system. We combine multiscale imaging, genetics and force measurement to decipher how cell polarity, cell proliferation and cell mechanics are functionally integrated to shape epithelial tissues.
