I am interested in RNA metabolism in plants with specific emphasis on microRNA biogenesis and microRNA functions. My group works on model plant Arabidopsis thaliana as well as barley and the oldest living land plants, liverworts. Specific attention is paid to co- and post-transcriptional regulation of microRNA levels including splicing, alternative polyadenylation and nucleotide modifications in response to various abiotic stresses.
